Choose and Cut Virginia Christmas Trees

Before you judge too quickly, their conversation could likely be about which kind of Christmas tree to select.  Different varieties feel different to the touch, hold up indoors in different ways, cost different amounts, and have different fragrances.

In our state of Virginia, a consumer always can locate fresh Christmas trees by looking less than an hour from his home.  In fact, holiday trees are so important to our economy that the governor issued a proclamation to declare the entire month of December as Christmas Tree Month.

Our VA Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has updated its search link for 2013 Christmas tree locations.  Here you can type in a zip code plus Christmas tree and you’ll find out tree farm locations, their hours of operation, directions, and specific offerings (like … can someone help me get this tree on top of my car?… and does anyone have some rope to help me tie this thing up?).

So if your family would enjoy other aspects of Virginia’s Choose-And-Cut tree farms…. hay wagon rides, cider, a bonfire, or ornaments… the link above will give you more incentive to bypass the fake trees for the real ones.  Here’s more from a local newspaper.
