Independence Day Celebrations in Central Virginia!

Monticello will hold its 51st annual Naturalization ceremony at 9:00am. This year’s featured speaker will be Dave Matthews. Reservations are required. Please visit Monticello’s website for more information.

Charlottesville’s Family Fourth begins at 6:00pm in McIntire Park, music, food, kid zones and fireworks begin one minute after dark. For more information visit their website.

Green County starts with a parade that begins at 10:00am followed by festivities that include flag raising, food, music and vendors.

Wintergreen Resort begins it 4th of July Jubilee on July 3rd at 10:00am with a sidewalk chalk competition, there will be music, scenic chairlift rides and more and ending with fireworks on July 4th. For the complete schedule enter Wintergreen’s site.

July 4th a big celebration happens in Scottsville with the parade starting at 10:00am and ending with fireworks at 9:30pm! You can find more information here!

Nelson County starts with a Children’s Bike Parade at 10:00am on the 4th and then the main Freedom – What It means to me themed parade begins at 11:00am. You can check out their Blog for more information.

This year you can continue to celebrate the 4th on the 6th of July with the Crozet Independence Day Parade and Celebration . The parade begins at 4:00PM and ending with the fireworks at 9:30PM!
