Charlottesville Rivanna Trails Get Spring Cleaning

by staff on April 24, 2013

Rivanna Trail in Charlottesville VAWe’ve told you previously about the wonderful parks and trails of Charlottesville.  The Rivanna Trail system is a well-used feature for Charlottesville’s hiking and biking enthusiasts.  Miles of wide easy trails follow the Rivanna River, and the trails are enjoyed by folks of all ages and all abilities.  And one feature that we think is especially nice… is that the whole community gathers along the trails each season to clean out overgrown foliage and debris to make the trails ready for use.

Here’s the information given to include UVa students in the clean-up too.   The cleanup is scheduled for tomorrow morning (Thurs, 4/25) beginning at 9:00 a.m. and here is additional information regarding necessary tools etc.
