Virginia Schools Among Top Honors

School Grades High in VARecently Virginia’s governor released news that the Education Week’s Quality Counts has put Virginia schools in the top 4 in the nation.  The Quality Counts ranks performance in six areas: (1) the usual look at student academics grades K-12;  (2) how the state’s education promotes the students’ success in other stages of life;  (3) the quality excellence of academic standards and testing systems; (4) teachers’ level of education and performance; (5) school finances; and  (6) how overall state policies coordinate school and workforce competency.   HERE is our local report of this ranking.
