4th of July Celebrations around Central Virginia!

Here are just a few ways to celebrate Independence Day in central Virginia!
Start early on Saturday, June 30 in Crozet with a parade that starts at 4:00pm – food, music and fireworks around 9:00pm!
On Sunday, July 1 hop on over to Free Union for their parade – It is scheduled for 4:00pm.
Wintergreen Resort begins it 4th of July Jubilee on July 3rd at 10:00am with a sidewalk chalk competition, there will be music, scenic chairlift rides and more and ending with fireworks on July 4th. For the complete schedule enter here!
Monticello holds its annual Naturalization ceremony at 9:00am on July 4th.  It’s always so inspiring to witness America’s newest citizens and the pride they have in this celebration.  Gates open at 7:00am. For more information please visit Monticello’s website.
July 4th a big celebration happens in Scottsville with the parade starting at 10:00am and ending with fireworks at 9:30pm!
Nelson County starts with a Children’s Bike Parade at 10:00am on the 4th and then the main America’s Monuments themed parade begins at 11:00am. You can check out their Blog for more information.
Greene County will also hold its Independence parade on July 4th at 10:00am in downtown Stanardsville. Following the parade there will be a Patriotic program on the Court House Square. Charlottesville’s Family Fourth begins at 6:00pm McIntire Park, music, food, kid zones and fireworks begin one minute after dark.  There’s a unique bonus for fireworks lovers with this one…. each explosion echoes off the distant hills (for those who like booms).   For more information visit here.
