CFA Institute Expands Charlottesville Operations

by staff on June 18, 2011

Today we’ve learned that the Charlottesville training center for financial investors…. CFA Institute… is relocating its Charlottesville operations.  They have successfully obtained the Charlottesville structure of the former Martha Jefferson Hospital on Locust Street for their expansion.

CFA Institute is a global company of investment professionals.  Currently their Charlottesville business is occupying 3 different locations around town in order to accommodate its 350+ employees, so they will look forward to consolidating under one roof.   In addition, there will be other jobs created from this move.   Apparently some of the state’s incentive monies have also contributed to making this move feasible for CFA as detailed in THIS ARTICLE.

CFA Institute in CharlottesvilleThe City of Charlottesville utilized the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, a $200,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund, and the Virginia Department of Business  Assistance to help provide funding and services to support the company’s recruitment and training activities.

Thanks to CFA for their vision to help Charlottesville stay at the top!
