Charlottesville’s Parade of Homes Tour

by staff on October 8, 2010

Beginning this weekend is your annual chance to attend the Charlottesville Parade of Homes tour, sponsored each year by the Blue Ridge Home Builder’s Association  (BRHBA).  This year there are 28 homes that will be open for people to tour from 12:00 to 5:00pm.  Prices range from the low $200′s to over a million dollars. This event is fun on many levels.  It’s a great opportunity for the general public to see firsthand the wide range of gorgeous new construction choices that Charlottesville’s builders can offer.  It’s also great to be able to tour homes that you might otherwise never have an opportunity to see, regardless of whether they suit your specific tastes or not.

The Parade of Homes takes place over two weekends, Oct 9-10 and Oct 16-17.  Here’s a link to details of the Parade of Homes available for you to see this year.  If you’re able to visit, don’t miss the fabulous kitchen in the Keswick home on Palmer Lane.

In our profession we like to participate because another benefit is learning each year about new construction techniques and materials that the builders have used so that we remain current with our information to the public … and to see the fabulous interior designs that are thoughtfully presented too.

And oh yes… just like you… we also tour these homes to see trends and get ideas for remodeling too!

And we like to remind our buyers that the hosts of these events may be builder’s representatives rather than Realtors… and you can contact any Realtor to find out why it’s a good idea to have a Realtor on your team while you negotiate and build a new home.   You’ll be glad you did!
