Peacock Hill In Ivy VA

Stroll Around the Pond

Peacock Hill is a planned development of approximately 350 acres which is 10 minutes west of Charlottesville and UVa, and it is easily accessible via I-64west (exit 114) to Dry Bridge Rd or via Rt 250W.  Set amid forested hills, Peacock Hill is clustered around a 5-acre community lake, which has walking trails around the pond and some of the community’s common areas.  Most of the approximately 175 properties in Peacock Hill are single family detached homes on approximately 1/2 to 1 acre each.  There are also several patio homes for attached living.  Most home prices in Peacock Hill have ranged from the mid-$300′s to $600k.  Although the community (once an apple orchard) has a home built in the 1940′s, most of the homes were built in the mid-to-late1990′s.  Home styles tend to be traditional wood-sided colonial style.  In addition to the centerpiece 5-acre community lake, Peacock Hill also offers a tennis court, playground, and trails.  Nearby Ragged Mountain and glimpses of the distant Blue Ridge mountains lend a rural feel to this convenient Charlottesville neighborhood.
