According to The Daily Beast, Charlottesville ranks ninth for the Brainiest Metro area in the U.S. The survey states that 20.33% of the population holds a professional degree, masters or Ph.D. Many of the Brainiest Metro areas are, not suprisingly, tied to research universities.
